Stress and burnout can have many different causes, but they share the hormonal dysfunction characterized by imbalanced cortisol and sex-hormones. These hormonal imbalances are linked to heart disease, diabetes 2, male sexual dysfunction and infertility.

The World Health Organization has a new definition of Occupational Burnout: “A syndrome resulting from chronic stress at work that has not been successfully managed.” This new definition of burnout will be published in the International Classification of Diseases, ICD-11, which will go into effect in January 2022.

There are three primary symptoms:

  1. Exhaustion

  2. Increased mental distance from one’s job or negativity and cynicism related to one’s job

  3. Reduced professional efficacy

Burnout is reaching epic proportions in many industrialized countries, not to forget that it is scientifically proven that our smart phones cause a chronic stress response on our body - top this off with chemical stress and mental stress, and we have the perfect storm.

You can get testes for burnout and stress hormones by booking a consultation today.
